词刻 Cike is an adaptive English vocabulary memorization web app for primary, middle, high school, and university learners. It combines cognitive science, language acquisition, and learning psychology to arrange new words and reviews based on each learner's stage and pace.

Core goal: see an English word → pronounce it correctly → quickly recall its accurate Chinese meaning. No requirement to memorize parts of speech, word roots, or phrases.

## Core methodology

- **Listening (听音)**: Standard American pronunciation via Deepgram Aura-2, with 0.8× slow mode and verified example sentences.
- **Reading aloud (朗读)**: Real-time pronunciation check via Deepgram Nova-3 STT; Chinese meaning is verified locally with deterministic matching.
- **Active recall (主动回忆)**: Default input is Chinese core meaning; multiple-choice only appears when active recall fails or is explicitly requested.
- **FSRS scientific review (FSRS科学复习)**: Each word maintains 6 FSRS skill schedules (pronunciation, active meaning extraction, written discrimination, etc.), with the earliest-due required skill determining overall review time.

## Privacy

- Short audio recordings are only forwarded to Deepgram during actual pronunciation checks, with `mip_opt_out=true`; not written to D1, R2, logs, or learning profiles.
- Learning profiles only store compact evidence: model, match level, confidence interval, and duration.
- Chinese answers always stay on-page for deterministic judgment.
- 1% anonymous first-party RUM writes only Cloudflare Analytics Engine numeric latency — no account, word, or learning record.
- Google Analytics: bot/DNT skip, IP anonymization, ad-personalization suppressed, CN-friendly proxy fallback.
